Kickboxing

Kickboxing

Relax and breathe while kickboxing
Don’t be tense when kickboxing. This is a common problem with beginners in kickboxing. They tend to tense up and take too few breathes.
One of the most essential techniques of kickboxing is relaxing and breathing deeply.
Take a deep breathe with each punch, not only will you be kickboxing smoothly but you will need fewer breaks between combinations.
Skipping and Kickboxing
To better your kick boxing techniques, try these skipping exercises.
While skipping, raise your knees as high as you can. Skip side to side
Skip forwards and backwards
Basic kickboxing stance
If you are right-handed, stand with your knees slightly bent and your left leg and left shoulder forward, this way your dominant hand is farther back(if you are left-handed do the opposite).
Keep your hands up, protecting your face.      3) Tuck your chin down and cover it with your less dominant shoulder.
*Try practicing your stance in a full-length mirror.
Using a Bag for Kickboxing Training
If you want to be a better kick boxer you have to practice your kick boxing techniques!
A useful tool is a punching bag. If you spar with a punching bag you will actually get to make contact which is beneficial when you are trying to gain more power.
If you don’t have access to a punching bag, try using a kickboxing video to give you more drive. Kickboxing Punches
Powerful punches while kickboxing take time to achieve. Try following these kickboxing techniques to work your way up to better punches:
Concentrate on speed, accuracy, and good form rather than power (power will come with time)
Power comes from the twist in your body and legs (which transfers body weight behind the punch) not from your arm itself
Step into your punch for more power
We all know that practice makes perfect! It’s helpful to invest in a kickboxing video that focuses on punching so that you can get in additional practice. You could also try Taebo or Kenpo.
